Clinical Hypnosis
Don’t worry, I won’t make you crow like a rooster when you hear a doorbell—it’s not that kind of hypnosis. Clinical hypnosis is a non-invasive, gentle, guided journey into your subconscious for the purpose of reducing the symptoms of such maladies as anxiety, depression, PTSD and other trauma, and even physical pain. During hypnosis, you will achieve a deeper state of relaxation, in which state you are more receptive to positive suggestions being made by your therapist.
The mind is extremely
powerful, and has the ability to govern not only
your emotional state but your physical condition
as well. Clinical hypnosis can be so
effective that it has been observed to actually
slow down and stop the spreading of cell damage
resulting from severe burns, when performed
shortly after the incident.
As a component of my
cognitive-behavioral approach, hypnosis offers
an additional level of care to complement your
overall wellness. Client’s often feel as
though they have had a refreshing nap, and just
“feel better” after experiencing hypnosis.
